So, starting this week, I'll be ramping up my healthy eating, along with a dash of pretty as food for the eyes.
Here's how it will go.
Every Sunday I'll post two photos side-by-side - one photo showing something that I think looks very pretty and the other showing a healthy dish or drink. Then, during the week I'm going to copy-cat both photos in real life. I'm calling it my Pretty Healthy Challenge.
For the challenge I'll be preparing the meal or drink with all the ingredients I see in the 'healthy' photo, and also plating and presenting it as close as possible to how it was done in the image. I'll do the same for the 'pretty' picture.
On Friday of every week, I'll edit the original post and add my results of the challenge in the same way - with my 'pretty' and 'healthy' interpretations side by side.
Then I'll ask you to be the judge. Tell me if I hit the mark, or if it was a total bust. Maybe you can take up the challenge as well? I think it's going to be an enjoyable experience.
Since I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2012, I've been working towards healthier eating habits so I can take less medication and enjoy a full, rich life. The bible verse 3 John 2 highlights God's wishes for us to be healthy and live well. I look forward to this new challenge and all the benefits it can bring.
Anyone joining me to kick-off the Pretty Healthy Challenge? Let me know in the comments.
